Hats, hats, hats

This week I have been searching for a way to make myself feel better, for me many of the things that used to bring me pleasure are now on the banned list - eating out, exercise, so I have rediscovered my love of a good hat. To me hats can hide a multitude of sins as well as making me feel glamourous. Some of the comments we got after venturing out in hats were hilarious - my mom likened us to the Beckhams (until Stuart wears a sarong i'm not too worried), we had comparisons to The Good Life, and my aunt even compared Stuart to my beloved grandpa!

Hat - Topshop

Skirt - Primark

See, a hat can turn the normal into the glamourous!

All that glitters

I have wanted a sequinned skirt for as long as I can remember, I have flirted with the idea of getting one, even getting so far as trying a couple on but I have always backed out of the purchase at the last minute, mostly for fear of looking like a fool! A couple of weeks ago I thought that maybe pairing a sequinned skirt with a plain black jumper would make the skirt more wearable during my everyday life, so again I went out on the search for the perfect skirt - this time I found it and quickly purchased it before I could change my mind! Let me know what you think of it :)

Skirt: Republic £25, Jumper: H&M £17

The pictures were taken on a ridiculously cold day so please excuse the very forced smile you can see!

An outfit post

This was the outfit I decided to wear on Sunday for lunch with a couple of friends of ours. I spotted the dress in Animal and absolutely fell in love with it, after trying it on there was no doubt that I was going to buy it - especially after realising that my mom would be able to get 10% off (the joys of having a mom in University!) It was surprisingly warm and really wearable, I teamed it with tights and over the knee boots but I think it would work equally well with heels, just hoping I can get away with wearing it all year round, Stuart thinks not but I'm going to give it a damn good go!!

Dress - Animal, £50
Boots - tReds, £40
